Scale drawing of the design of each functional component

Frame: On the frame we tried to make the axels as short as possible. This raises the force required to deflect the axel as shorter length objects have a greater breakage force required to break them.
The reason that the back axel is bigger than the front axel is to provide clearance from the body of the rider as the center of mass of the rider will be on top of the axel.

Steering: Steering consist of a rod connected to the axel to move it.

Wheel: The wheel is 8" in diameter. The back wheels have 6 washers stacked up on top of each on the sides of the wheels. This is to alway a greater mass of the rear wheels which makes increases the inertia of the wheel. The reason we choose to place the mass at the rear wheels is that it would provide more potential energy (Pe=mgh where  a greater h(hight) means a greater Pe).

Braking: The braking system is like a disk wheel system where cardboard pads will provide a kinetic friction force on the wheels causing it to have a negative acceleration making the car come to a stop.
